Twenty-nine people (Canadian, American, and Swiss) between two beach houses for one week in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We spotted several of the wild horses that live along the shores. We ate barbeque and seafood. There were several games of soccer (or football, depending on which country you call home) and Kubb (I should really not be allowed to play that game – I almost knocked my mother-in-law out with a wood block). So much wave-jumping. Spying sea turtle eggs. All but the yoke of a yellow sweater knit. Jigsaw puzzle, board games, and billiards in the evenings. A late-night acoustic sing-a-long (I think Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown was the favourite). And a whole lot of catching up with relatives that haven't been seen in far too long.
