With the thermometer hovering around the -35 mark (and the windchill even colder) you start to hear Canadians say things like "it's kinda chilly out there".
The barn this weekend? It was, well... really cold.
The cats that are normally out and about and in the centre of things were hiding in the sunny (and heated) tack room. No amount of calling and coaxing would bring them out.
The horses spent a bit more time in the stables than usual so we popped in to give Thief a little light exercise. Not ten minutes in the indoor arena and Emory's cheeks were a bright red and Thief had icicles on his whiskers! It was cold indeed. Thank goodness for layers (and layers!) of wool.
(this would be the indoor handle!)
Oh, what a love that boy is!
